Hi, I’m Mary, the breeder behind Here Kitty Kitty Ragdolls in Chalmette, Louisiana. 🐾

My love for animals started at a young age. I grew up in Ascension Parish and graduated from Dutchtown High School in 2005. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and that passion eventually led me to raising beautiful Ragdoll cats.

In 2010, I moved to Chalmette, Louisiana, where I now call home. I’m a wife, a proud mother of three, and I also work as a school bus driver. Between family, work, and my Ragdolls, life is definitely busy—but I wouldn’t have it any other way! ❤️

Here Kitty Kitty Ragdolls is a small, family-owned, in-home Ragdoll cattery located in Chalmette, Louisiana, near New Orleans. We service families throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and surrounding states. 

Mother Nature sets the timing, so kitten availability and wait time can vary by gender, color, and pattern. We are a small, in-home Ragdoll cattery in Louisiana, focused on quality-not quantity. We are not a mass-producing cattery. 

Ragdoll kittens are born completely white, and their true color and pattern begin developing as they mature. Around 5 weeks of age, each kitten is carefully evaluated for its developing color, pattern, and overall qualities. Individual kitten photos are typically posted at 6 weeks of age.  

• PET KITTENS:

          Our available Ragdoll kittens for sale are sold strictly as COMPANIONS only and are placed without breeding rights. $2,500 and up.

• Registration paperwork will be withheld until proof of altering (spay/neuter) is provided and verified.  

$500 non-refundable deposit is REQUIRED to reserve your chosen Ragdoll kitten at 6 weeks of age, when families can begin choosing their preferred kitten.  

• Once we have mutually agreed upon your kitten selection, the deposit must be made within 1 hour. 
• Is APPLIED toward the total purchase price.
• RESERVES your selected kitten until pickup, at 12 weeks of age.
• We currently accept ONLY Zelle, (Friends/Family Option). 
• Remaining kitten balance is due at pickup in CASH.
• Once a kitten is placed on HOLD for you, we do not allow transfers to another available kitten. 

Kittens must reach important developmental milestones before beginning their next chapter. Keeping kittens with their mother and littermates until 12 weeks of age helps them develop important social and life skills. We carefully evaluate each kitten’s health, development, and readiness before they leave our care.
During this time, they continue learning:

• Proper play and communication
• Confidence and independence
• Social skills with people and other cats
• Comfort with everyday household sounds
• Positive interaction with children
• Healthy development and stronger immune systems
• Be litter box trained
• Be eating solid kitten food
• Weigh approximately 3 pounds or more
• Have age-appropriate vaccinations
• Be healthy, confident, and well-socialized
• Kittens will not be held beyond 12 weeks of age without prior approval and applicable boarding fees. 

Our goal is to provide each family with a healthy, loving, well-socialized Ragdoll kitten that is ready to begin life in their forever home. Our Ragdoll kittens in Louisiana are raised in a loving home environment where they receive daily attention, handling, and socialization to help them become affectionate, confident companions. 

YES, our Ragdoll parents and kittens are registered with TICA (The International Cat Association). We specialize in raising traditional Ragdoll kittens with beautiful blue eyes, loving personalities, and exceptional temperaments.  

• Registration paperwork will be withheld until proof of altering (spay/neuter) is provided and verified.  

Our primary meet-up location for many families is:

Sidney Torres Memorial Park in Chalmette, La 70043

This location provides a convenient meeting point for families traveling from surrounding areas while allowing us to safely and efficiently complete kitten handoffs. 

You will receive documents with all medical treatments, be sure to share with your licensed veterinarian. 

• Kittens have been treated for prevention of worms several times throughout the 12 weeks.
• Kittens receive flea treatment as 8 weeks age.
• All kittens will receive age-appropriate vaccines, at least 2 shots.
• We do NOT vaccinate against FIP, FeLV. Ragdolls are sensitive to these vaccines.
• NEVER GIVE YOUR RAGDOLL KITTEN MORE THAN ONE VACCINE AT A TIME.
• *Never give rabies shot with distemper shot. 

My Kitten nanny will pick up your kitten from me at (MSY) and bring to your kitten to your nearest major airport. Extra fees apply, paid directly to nanny when arrives at your airport. (ask me for details).

Families flying in must:

• Bring a TSA-approved airline cat carrier
• Confirm airline requirements, reservations, and applicable pet fees directly with the airline.
• Coordinate flight times within our available airport meeting window whenever possible.

We are NOT a store/facility/petting zoo, we are a CLOSED cattery. Please keep in mind this is my home; my TOP priority is the health and safety of my children/cats. *I am well aware of the "INTERNET BLOGGERS" that advocate for visiting the breeder and the kitten. The problem with these sites is their priority is the buyer and not the health of the kittens. What about the Kittens' Immune system / infectious diseases / airborne viruses / covid, or the UNKOWN dangers of inviting strangers into your home, who may or may not have good intentions, unfortunately breeders have been robbed and harmed. We previously allowed in home visitors when we used to bred Westies, but sadly all good things must come to an end. Families would come to visit and bring the whole extended family, while others would have their small children running around my home chasing after my Westies.  My days and weekends are very busy with three school age children. My off days are reserved for my responsibilities and other commitments. I simply can't ACCOMMODATE the numerous of daily request to come visit and stay 2 plus hours, seeing what kitten is drawn to you. 

• I’m available FACETIME with a scheduled appointment, I SHARE weekly, if not daily updated picture and videos.

I UNDESTAND MY POLICY MAY NOT SUIT EVERYONE, I ENCOURAGE FAMILIES TO SEEK OUT FULL-TIME BREEDERS WHOSE PROGRAM ALIGNS BEST WITH THEIR EXPECTATIONS AND COMFORT LEVEL. 

Families are provided with advance notice of the expected pickup timeframe, so they have adequate time to make arrangements. 

• Your scheduled pickup date is an important commitment. Kittens will not be held beyond 12 weeks of age without prior approval and applicable boarding fees.
• If a kitten remains in our care past the agreed pickup date, a $25 daily boarding fee will apply for each additional day, up till 14 weeks of age.
• If a kitten is not picked up as scheduled and arrangements have not been approved in advance, the deposit and any payments made may be forfeited, and the kitten may be made available to another approved family. 
• This policy exists because extended stays create additional expenses and scheduling challenges, including:
• Additional household supplies
• Continued daily care and supervision
• Additional veterinary-related expenses when applicable
• Time spent communicating, scheduling, and coordinating care
• The possibility of needing to restart the placement process

• We strongly recommend scheduling a 48-hour veterinary wellness check before bringing your new kitten home. 
• We also encourage families to plan a few days at home, if possible, to provide uninterrupted time for bonding, comfort, and helping your new Ragdoll kitten transition into their forever home.
